Sarasota County Reminds Residents of Boil Water Notice Procedures

Sarasota County has issued guidance to residents who may have recently received precautionary boil water notices. The county government said the notices are issued during water main breaks, scheduled repairs, or other incidents that can cause a temporary drop in water pressure.

Residents who receive a boil water notice are advised to bring tap water to a rolling boil for at least one minute before drinking it as a safety precaution.
