Man Found Dead Near 15th Street and Central Avenue in Sarasota
The Sarasota Police Department is investigating the death of an adult man found near the intersection of 15th Street and Central Avenue early Tuesday morning, July 7, 2026. Officers responded to a call at approximately 12:30 a.m. reporting a person lying on the ground bleeding.
Officers performed CPR on the victim until emergency medical services arrived. The man died while being transported to Sarasota Memorial Hospital. His next of kin has been notified. Police have not publicly identified the victim.
Authorities said there are no suspects at this time and no other injuries were reported. Police described the incident as isolated and said there is no believed threat to the public.
