New Mural Unveiled in Sarasota's Gillespie Park Neighborhood

Sarasota Mayor Debbie Trice, Vice Mayor Ohlrich, and Commissioner Alpert joined community members to unveil "Niche ArT," a new mural in the Gillespie Park neighborhood. The mural was completed by local artist Truman Adams, who was selected following a global call to artists through the city's Public Art Program.

At the unveiling ceremony, local officials and neighborhood representatives spoke about the mural's significance to the Gillespie Park community. Sarasota Audubon Society President Sara Reisinger provided information about the Nanday and Monk Parakeets depicted in the artwork.
